Our 14K Gold Plated Evil Eye Anklet
The evil eye symbol has been around for centuries. People wear it for protection. We wear it because it looks beautiful doing that job.
This 14k gold plated evil eye anklet started as a simple sketch in our studio. We wanted something delicate enough for daily wear but substantial enough to last. Here is how we built it.
Why Copper Base with 14K Gold
Here is something we learned from years of making jewelry. Solid gold anklets are soft. They stretch. They break. And they cost more than most people want to spend on foot jewelry.
So we use copper as our base. Why copper? It holds shape better than brass. It feels smooth against skin. And when we plate it with 14K gold, the result looks like solid gold without the problems.
The plating thickness matters too. Thin plating wears off in weeks, especially on anklets. Your ankle bends. It rubs against shoes. We apply a thicker layer so it stays put.

The Evil Eye Charm
We tested three versions of this charm before settling on the final one.
First version was too heavy. It pulled the chain down and sat crooked. Second version was too small. You couldn’t see it unless you looked close.
The final charm hits the sweet spot. It catches light when you walk. It moves with your ankle instead of flopping around. And the evil eye detail stays crisp because we cast it properly, not stamp it thin.
Getting the Fit Right
Anklets are tricky. Too loose and they spin around. Too tight and they dig in.
Main chain sits at 19 cm. Extension adds another 15.3 mm. That gives you room to adjust. We landed on this range after measuring ankles in our studio for two weeks. Most women fall somewhere in between.
Slide the clasp until it rests comfortable. You want a finger’s width of space. The chain should move but not slide past your heel bone.
Where This One Works
This is not a sit-on-the-shelf piece. We built it for movement.
Works under jeans where just the charm peeks out. Works barefoot on the beach. Works layered with other chains if you stack them.
The finish is shiny but not costume-jewelry shiny. It looks like real gold because the plating is thick enough to reflect light correctly.

Giving This as a Gift
We package these simple. Box, pouch, care card. Nothing wasteful.
If you are buying for someone else, here is a tip. Check what metal they usually wear. If they have yellow gold earrings or necklaces, this matches. If they only wear silver, maybe pick a different piece.
But for gold lovers? This one lands right.
Wear It Your Way
Left ankle or right? Old superstitions said left for protection, right for availability. Honestly? Nobody follows that anymore.
Wear it where it feels good. Wear it alone or stacked. Wear it until the clasp wears out, which with proper care should take years.
That is the point of building things right the first time.
