Absolutely. We regularly service 14k gold rings that are 30, 40, even 50 years old. The metal withstands decades of wear. With proper care, the setting will protect your diamonds just as faithfully.
Gently. A soft-bristled toothbrush (dedicated to jewelry), lukewarm water, and a drop of mild dish soap is our studio’s home cleaning recipe. Soak for 20 minutes, brush lightly, rinse, and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
This is one of the most practical questions we get, and the answer is usually yes—it’s one of the key advantages of choosing a solid gold band. In our workshop, resizing a ring by a size or two is a routine procedure. We carefully cut the shank, add or remove a precise amount of metal, and seamlessly solder it back together under the torch, then refinish it to look brand new. However, we always give this caveat: highly intricate bands with continuous engraving or eternity settings (where diamonds go all the way around) are much more complex to alter.
